paradox in translation
Paradox in Translation is an expansion of Translation Studies No. 4 & 5, in which the individual words of two poems are translated into movement, creating a literal vocabulary that exactly maps to the language used in the poems. This close translation is complemented in Paradox by more disjointed, loose translation material that transcends the original linguistic structure and ties the work together in a dreamscape that explores the contradictions inherent in love and loss.

What People Are Saying
“The phrases translated into movement create a whole that’s more engrossing to watch than the poems are to hear.”
