Up first is International Cultural Da(nce)y on Sunday, October 6 from 3-5PM. Our only event at the Metuchen Plaza will bring together local choreographers with expertise in historical and cultural dance practices, as well as a unique collaborative performance integrating tap, Latin ballroom, classical Indian dance, and Yiddish folk dance. This event is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by The Metuchen Arts Council.
Up next is Bollywood Night! This free event from 7-9PM on Monday, October 7 is open to all ages and is the perfect opportunity to experience the vibrant world of Bollywood dance. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, this event promises a night of laughter, music, and cultural immersion.
Ferrell Studios is back with their 3rd Annual One Act Festival, featuring a collection of original one-act plays written by local playwrights and actors. Come support local artists and experience an evening filled with fresh, thought-provoking, and entertaining theater. Whether you're a longtime theater enthusiast or a newcomer to the stage, our One Act Play Festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the creativity and energy of our vibrant artistic community. The mignolo international screendance festival is a unique and dynamic event that celebrates the intersection of dance and film. Held annually, the festival showcases a diverse range of screendance works from artists around the world, blending the artistry of movement with the visual storytelling of cinema. It provides a platform for both emerging and established filmmakers and choreographers to present their innovative work, pushing the boundaries of how dance can be captured and experienced on screen.
To Be Danced is a co-production with ReFrame Dance Theatre, which features local dancers and choreographers performing their original works.
Join us from 12–4 PM on Saturday, October 12 for a celebration of interdisciplinary arts. Founded in 2020 under the mignolo umbrella, Pinky Thinker Press is a dynamic arts publication dedicated to showcasing diverse creative expressions. This second annual event builds on the success of last year's first in-person gathering and promises to be even more vibrant and engaging. Artists featured in our past 12 issues are invited to present their latest works, meet fellow contributors, and connect with attendees. Pinky Thinker Press LIVE! is free to attend, and there will be a variety of art for sale as well as print copies of the magazine and other exclusive merchandise.

Join us for a magical evening at our Silent Movie Night Gala, the grand finale of Artweek and our formal fundraiser of the year! The event will take place at 6PM on Sunday, October 13. With a minimum donation of $50 per person, your ticket includes a delightful array of food and drinks and the option to participate in a silent auction. The highlight of the evening will be an exclusive screening of an original silent dance film, accompanied by the enchanting sounds of old Hollywood jazz music. About: mignolo arts center is a state of the art, 28x40 foot ADA approved rehearsal studio, gallery, and performance space in Metuchen, NJ. It houses mignolo dance and is available for rentals. With a wide open space, wall-to-wall mirrors, high ceilings, and a marley floor, it is an ideal place for professional dancers as well as theater companies, musicians, and visual artists.
